Bottle fillers, cappers, labellers, pumps…
BOTTLE FILLERS
There are two basic types of filler: vacuum and volumetric. With the vacuum types bottles are place under the nozzle and an internal pump sucks air out of the bottle drawing in oil from a tank or drum filling the bottle to a preset level. The vacuum filler won't work with plastic bottles (since most are not rigid enough to withstand the vacuum). The volumetric filler is a simple piston pump. Oil is sucked from the tank or drum and pumped into the bottle. The machine can be adjusted to suit different volume containers. The volumetric filler can fill ridgid glass containers as well as soft plastic.

CAPPERS
These machines fit Aluminium ROPP caps (Roll On Pilfer Proof) - the type found on many wine bottles now. The caps for oil have an integral plastic pourer.

Manual capper
For hand crimping pre-threaded ROPP caps. The cap is screwed on manually and then the pilfer proof seal is formed using this crimper.

This model is activated by pressing two buttons rather than pulling a lever and is therefore less tiring to use on long bottling runs. 600 + per hour.

LABEL APPLICATORS
These machines apply self adhesive labels from a roll. We can also assist with printing of the labels.
I know of someone who has a secondhand BenchMark Labeller (electric and good for large and small bottles) please emailo me for details.

Transfer pump
A peristaltic pump makes an excellent low volume transfer pump, perfect for transferring oil from the oil press to the settling tank(s).
No need for level sensors as this pump will run happily empty or sucking oil and air. Self priming. Easy to clean (only one short piece of pipe in contact with the oil). No foaming and gentle operation therefore no excess oxygenation of the oil (which could reduce its shelf life). Approx £790
